Behind The Sory: Adlabs and Ocher Studios today revealed the first look of their 3D animated mega production 'Sultan the Warrior' featuring superstar Rajnikanth. 'Sultan the Warrior' will feature Rajnikanth as a mythological, larger-than-life hero in a gripping action adventure film and will be replete with the stylized Rajnikanth mannerisms and punch lines for which he is known and loved. 'Sultan the Warrior' will feature Rajnikanth as a mythological, larger-than-life hero in a gripping action adventure film and will be replete with the stylized Rajnikanth mannerisms and punch lines for which he is known and loved. The film is targeted at adults as well as kids.
Sultan is directed by Rajnikanth's Daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth and features music by master composer AR Rahman. The film will be launched in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English. Saundarya along with Pooja Shetty of Adlabs is busy making a 3D animation film on the super-duper star. To be called ‘Sultan the Warrior’, this animation film is the first-ever being done on a personality.
AR Rehman is composing the music and it will be launched in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English. ‘Sultan the Warrior’ will feature Rajnikanth as a mythological, larger-than-life hero in a gripping action adventure film and will be replete with the stylised Rajnikanth mannerisms and punch lines for which he is known and loved. Apart from Ocher studios, which is a Chennai-based post-production and animation studio, a set of international specialists will be working on the production and it is expected to set benchmarks in animation production in India.
Says Pooja Shetty, “‘Sultan’ is Adlabs’ first full-length animation film – a very exciting genre for us as fantasy and animation have universal popular appeal. We are very excited about this project. The film will be marketed in a high-impact 360 degree campaign.”
Adds Soundarya Rajnikanth, Managing Director, Ocher Studios, “Internationally, the publicity of an eagerly awaited film starts much before the actual launch which is the model we are following here. Moreover, we are facing enormous interest from my father’s global fan base who are keen to know more about his next release and curious to see the new animated look of their icon.”
