Note : These songs from Vaishnavar are not composed by ar rahman.He played keyboard and done some interludes and whole Arrangements.
Music is composed by Ousappachan(a Popular Malayalam Film Music Composer) for album 'Andhi Maalai'.I think it happened in 1987.Then they re-released as 'Fantasy' in 1994 with ar rahman's name as composer.It is later re-used in a malayalam movie 'Vaishnavar' starring Mohanlal and directed by Gopi.But movie got shelved.

ReplyDeleteActually, "vaishnavar' was just a cunning move from the people who planned a movie with Mohan Lal,but never got his dates. It was not Sangeeth Sivan's film like "Yoddha'. Yoddha was original thought happened in 1991 and it has A R Rahman himself as the music director and it remains as rahman's first and last malayalam film.The people behind 'vaishnavar' did one more worst thing. They took a mimicry artist who imitates Lal's voice so awkwardly , to give introduction for the songs, to make it more real. Because at that point of time, Lal use to give introduction for the songs of his movie, in the cassattes
