ReplyDeletejeez you guys, rahman's "Blue" may be his mediocre, but its certainly not his worst (lol, Lakeer), and once you listen a few times, you see that its quite a decent album. Aaj Dil,Rehnuma, and Fiqraana are easily excellent songs, Bhoola Tujhe is decent, and the other three are crap, but the more you listen to the songs, the more you get from them. You hear all of the complex melodies and harmonies come out, you get a feel for the complex chord patterns, the structure (and breaking from that set paradigm structure), and you start to see (or hear, or both in my case) exactly why A.R. Rahman is a complete genius. You hear little things, notes, chords, whatever, that you might not have heard before, and it all comes together into something completely epic. Blue may not be his best album, but it is decent, and it is still probably a lot better than the other shit bollywood churns out every year. Hats off.

You've got to understand that this is a chill out Hollywood comedy and it has to go with the theme of the movie. I'm sure the tracklist compliments the feel of the movie which makes for a good music composer

Superb songs from couples retreat.its really great that tamil is gaining popularity internationally along with hindi music.all thanks to A R Rahman.and who said that rahman is out of bollywood and blue is not a good album.it has really got some gr8 tracks.nobody except rahman could even think of making such music.he is definitely at his best.
