  63. Gautham Vasudev Menon and his producers have pulled a rabbit out of their hat! They are going to hold the biggest ever audio launch of their forthcoming Silambarasan-Trisha musical entertainer Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VV) which has music by AR Rahman, in a London theatre on December 18. It is going to be a red carpet affair, with VTV’s producers flying in nearly 20 to 30 VIP Kollywood celebrity guests from Chennai to London to give an authentic feel to the event. Simbu, Trisha, Gautham along with Rahman will be there at the audio launch.
    One of the producers of the film said, “Already, a team from our production unit is in London making all the arrangements for this big event, with a theatre hired for it. Today, our cinema is big worldwide, thanks to the Tamil diaspora which loves Kollywood entertainers, especially musicals. VV is the first release of AR Rahman in Tamil after he got the Oscars. He is already an international brand. So, it will be a major event.”
    There are six songs in the film tuned by the ace musician, out of which three will be screened at the London audio launch. Those who have seen some songs from the film are raving about it. A spokesperson of the music company which has procured the audio rights of the film for a record price said, “The songs of Rahman are simply amazing and the picturisation of Gautham Menon is out of this world. The Rahman- Gautham combo is sure to rock. The album will certainly make it to the number one position, it’s awesome.” The feedback from those who have heard the songs are that it is “pure vintage Rahman”.
    Silambarasan feels the songs from the film have come out well, and the story and treatment are fresh and will appeal to all. The buzz is that Gautham has taken special care over the music of the film, as he has a point to prove. Remember that after his fall out with Harris Jayaraj, his detractors were saying that without his favourite music director, he cannot churn out a hit. Now, with the hype surrounding VTV and its music, the film has become one of the hottest projects in the trade. The musical extravaganza is now slated for a Valentine week release in February.

  87. Like every A R Rahman fan, I too can't wait for the music to get released. Requesting all of you to buy original CDs!
    Surely from the tracklist, it seems like vintage Rahman. Solo songs by Karthik and Naresh Iyer should be everlasting. But the most awaited song is the duet by Rahman and Shreya! And am really surprised and happy to see two songs with Malayalam lyrics (full or in-between?). I'm sure the songs will be great, and wonder if it'll be a direct competition for Rahman-Mani combo's Raavan! I hope Gautam Menon picturizes the songs well like before, and makes the songs evergreen!

  150. A.R.R rock this album. All the tunes are excellent. Hossana sonng was entirely diffrent tune. All the songs are better by tee liitle sound. A.R.R and Gautham are surity to continue thier combinations. Dont break the combinations. I will pray to god.

  152. Aaromale is killing me......I don't know how to tell the emotions that generate when we listen the song. what on earth AR is?
    Alphonse , his voice is spiritual , the guitar arrangements and accompanying piano what else man everything is perfect? I earlier wrote its from Pink Floyd song "wish you were here" from where the guitar arrangements were taken. Now after some search , I think its one of those loops guitarists use all over the world but who cares man AR blended it well beyond this world.

    anbil avan begining resembles those retro songs of ester years with a blend of contemporary styling. the nadaswaram bit also gives that retro feeling to the song. all together its a feel good song.

    omana penne its one of the cool songs of his new trendy compositions. he is been using the classical instrumentation like in delhi 6 in the back ground .with, in between classic bits those electronic touch of voices and music remains that he is not leaving his traditional valves in his music.

    Hosanna a tamil rap is good. this different style of composition with no charanam just keeping up the spirit of the song. also the tittle song by kartik is in the same league of style.

    mannipaya strikes different in the album. just listen the song as many times as possible. its one of those very tough compositions for any singer to sing. the flow of music and lyrics were never interrupted. the flow of music like a river wave , feather in a wind it just flows.
    Lyrics were worth to be mentioned. Tamil and Malayalam parts are awesome. the expression of a female writer is a world different from her colleagues.
