Doli Saja Ke Rakhna is a 1998 Bollywood film directed by Priyadarshan. It is a Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Aniyathi Pravu by Fazil. It stars Akshaye Khanna and Jyothika Saravanan in the leading roles. The music for the film was done by A. R. Rahman
Anish Khanna of Planet Bollywood gave the film 8.5 out of 10.Faisal Shariff of Rediff criticised the film for a perceived lack of subtlety and poor acting from secondary characters. Doli Saja Ke Rakhna performed poorly at the box office. In a 2000 interview with India Today, Priyadarshan said that he "lapsed into depression" after the film flopped.
The soundtrack for the film was composed by A.R.Rahman, who worked with Priyadarshan in his previous film Kabhi Na Kabhi to spawn a highly acclaimed soundtrack. This time Rahman focussed more on popularity and gave some of the all-time chart-toppers. Rahman reused all or some songs in the films Jodi and Sajni. The lyrics were written by Mehboob.
