Ratchagan is a record breaking and trendsetting Tamil movie starring Nagarjuna and Sushmita Sen in the lead role and also stars Raghuvaran, SP Balasubramanyam, Vadivelu and Girish Karnad. The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman. It held the record for the biggest budget for a Tamil film until Jeans. The film was a box office record hit upon release, and the producer K.T. Kunjumon got a huge revenue as the film did a great business. The film was directed by Praveenkanth.
